Pricing tiers

Prices are divided into three tiers: Supporter (for those who can contribute a little extra to help subsidise lessons for others), Sustainer (the standard rate), and Supported (a reduced rate for those experiencing financial hardship). Current prices for both monthly subscriptions and pay-as-you-go sessions are listed on the Ukulele Circle page of my website.

Monthly subscriptions

Your monthly subscription is a flat rate, designed for consistency and easy budgeting, and includes planned teacher holidays. Sessions take place across 45 weeks of the year, and your subscription guarantees your weekly place in the group.

If you wish to cancel your subscription, one month's notice is required and greatly appreciated. Absences cannot normally be refunded or made up.

Pay-as-you-go sessions

Bookings are made via email request and open 48 hours before each session. A weekly email is sent confirming availability and inviting booking requests. Places are limited to 8 participants per session and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis — a place is not guaranteed.

Illness

If a student is showing symptoms of illness, they're asked to stay at home. In this case, the session cannot be attended online or transferred (subscription students), and pay-as-you-go sessions will not be charged. Repeated cancellations may result in future pay-as-you-go bookings being declined.

Payment

Subscription payments and pay-as-you-go invoices (issued on the 1st of each month for sessions attended during the previous month) are made via the invoice system. A 5% late fee applies to payments made more than 10 days after the invoice issue date. All payments are non-refundable.

Cancellations by the teacher

If I cancel a session outside of a scheduled holiday, a make-up session will be offered, or a reduction will be applied to your next invoice.

Ending a subscription

I reserve the right to end a student's subscription without notice in cases such as non-payment, repeated missed sessions, or inappropriate behaviour.
